Ignition Advancer

OK first post. Hello to everybody.

Thinking about getting one. Any downsides? Happy on normal unleaded and suchlike?
I'm looking for a crisper response at low to medium revs.

Found one UK supplier selling for 60 quid or fleabay for 50 quid but it's listed as Z6R, ZX7 & ZX9. Does that sound right?

yes well worth it....search about price seems a little high.... nether the less a worth wile mod as it was set up at the factory to run on any old crappy fuel.. if you want a crisper throttle response, fit a zx10r throttle tube..(makes a quick action throttle for a couple of quid ) and go one down on the front sprocket two up on the rear...

Had a few quick phone calls and checked the part number of the fleabay supplier matched the one on the Factory Pro website.

Looks like we have a winner! just got to ait for it to arrive now.


Already done the one down, two up. Ta for the tip on the 10r throttle.

the ignition advancer is only held on with one bolt and can only be fitted one way... it takes longer to take off the side panel and coolant tank than fit the advancer

Part arrived today. Fit tomorrow. 50 notes off fleabay for the Factory Pro item.

OK installed now. Nice straighforward job Seems smoother on idle but not road tested yet

If it's dry tomorrow probably I'll run to work on it. 06:50 am start, gets the neighbours out of bed (full Muzzy exhaust)
